Geneva has a pretty large American contingent and thanks to that there is an English speaking spring baseball league. Miles was just old enough to play so I signed him up for t-ball. At first, when I suggested the idea he was adamant that he did not want to play. He really gets stressed about trying new things. Once he actually did it he really enjoyed it, especially the little trophy he got at the end. It was pretty funny to watch. I think the most common phrase used by the coaches was 'you're on the same team' when the kids would tackle each other for the ball in the field.
I relate to that feeling and I can see it in Sy. Hope he feels supported enough to be confident in new endeavors. Tee ball is just around the corner!
