Bug friend
One of the very first days of school the kids were playing outside. Miles told me that he found a bug and another boy in the class was looking at the bug with him. For the next couple months the friend was known as 'bug friend'. Miles even introduced one of the other moms to him at 'bug friend'. We finally figured out his name was Constantine.
Poubelle
Miles brings a snack to school each day. One day he told me that Constantine gets a babybel cheese and bread for his snack and Miles wanted to have that for snack as well. I got some babybel for him and packed it in his bag. He came home telling me that babybel was poubelle in French. I told him that I didn't think so and that it was probably the same in French and English. It wasn't until later when I thought about it and realized that poubelle means wastebasket in French and the teacher was telling him to throw the wrapper away.
